How to install glands correctly? 

cable gland is a very common cable accessories, in order to improve its safety and sealing, we should pay attention to the following points when installing and using:

1. According to the specifications of the type of cable glands, we need to buy the right joint material, the qualities of cable gland material are different, but in order to ensure the quality of cable glands, it is recommended not to choose the cheapest one, it is better to choose a manufacturer whose quality you can trust.

2. When we install the cable glands, it would be better to avoid the rainy day, because the water will seriously affect the service life of the cable, and even may cause a short circuit accident.

3. Before installing the cable gland, you must carefully read the manufacturer's product specification, which is particularly important for 10kV and above cable, make sure that you fully understand all the processes before you start to work.

4. For the single-core armored cable terminal glands which with the voltage of 10kV and above,  remember that keep only one end of the steel strip grounding connected.

5. Copper pipe can not be pressed too hard, and can not leave any burrs.

6. When using a torch to the heat shrinkable cable glands , pay attention to move the torch back and forth, not just to a direction constantly.

7. The size of the cold shrink cable joints must be strictly made in accordance with the drawing and instruction, we should be more carefully especially when drawing out the support in the reserved tube.
